This course is ideal for workplaces that need trained Emergency First Aiders who can act confidently when an
incident occurs. Delegates will learn how to assess an emergency, provide safe and effective support, manage
common workplace injuries and respond appropriately while waiting for further medical help.

Course Content
- First Aid: Elements of paediatric first aid will be included.
- Understanding: Grasp the responsibilities and role of a first aider in maintaining a safe workplace.
- Preventing cross infection: Learn how to minimise the risk of cross-infection.
- Recording incidents and actions: Understand the importance of accurate documentation.
- Equipment: Become familiar with first aid equipment and its proper use in emergency situations.
- Assess: Develop the ability to assess emergencies effectively and act safely and promptly.
- Unconscious: Provide aid to an unconscious casualty, including handling seizures.
- Administer CPR: Practise CPR techniques to provide life-saving support in critical situations.
- Choking: Learn how to respond efficiently to choking emergencies.
- Shock: Provide effective care for shock-related incidents including anaphylaxis.
- Minor injuries: Manage common workplace injuries such as cuts, grazes, bruises, burns and splinters.
- Automated External Defibrillation: Become familiar with AED use.
