This course is ideal for workplaces that need trained Paediatric First Aiderers who can act confidently when an incident occurs. Delegates will learn how to assess an emergency, provide safe and effective support, manage common workplace injuries and respond appropriately while waiting for further medical help.

  • First Aid: Elements of First Aid at Work will be included.
  • Reporting: Understand the role of a first aider and the importance of accurate and timely reporting.
  • Life-Saving Resuscitation: Practise resuscitation techniques designed for infants and children.
  • Assessing Situations: Learn to evaluate emergencies and prioritise actions effectively.
  • Managing Unresponsiveness: Build confidence in handling fainting and unresponsive children.
  • Choking: Learn step-by-step procedures to clear airways and safely manage foreign objects.
  • Injury Care: Provide effective support for head injuries, fractures, wounds and bleeding.
  • Conditions: Respond to asthma attacks, diabetes, sickle cell complications and seizures.
  • Allergies and Shock: Recognise and respond to anaphylaxis, shock and other critical conditions.
  • Burns and Eye Injuries: Deliver immediate care for burns and injuries to the eyes.
  • Emergencies: Handle hypothermia, heatstroke and other temperature-related conditions with care.
  • Serious Illnesses: Identify warning signs of meningitis and other life-threatening conditions.
